Info on the islands visited -
The Split - A blend of ancient history and modern living. Croatia's second-largest city, always buzzing & exuberant.
It has a unique setting. Its dramatic coastal mountains act as the perfect backdrop to the turquoise waters of the Adriatic
Jelsa - The small harbour town surrounded by thick pine forests and tall poplars is located in the middle of the island of Hvar surrounded by the two highest mountains on the island
Korcula - known for the medieval towers and walls fortifying its harbour.
Vis - Green Grotto, The farthest inhabited island off the Croatian mainland. Vis’ lack of development has become its drawcard as a tourist destination. International and local travellers alike now flock to Vis, seeking authenticity, nature, gourmet delights and peace and quiet.is spent much of its recent history serving as a military base for the Yugoslav army, cut off from foreign visitors from the 1950s right up until 1989.
Komiza - A picturesque coastal town lying on the western coast of the island of Vis in the central part of the Adriatic Sea, located at the foot of the Hum hill. The settlement of Komiža was first mentioned in the 12th century and is well known for its close proximity to the island of Biševo, which has the unique Blue Grotto.
Hvar - 13th-century walls, a hilltop fortress and a main square anchored by the Renaissance-era Hvar Cathedral. The island also features beaches like Dubovica and inland lavender fields. Wander along the main square, explore the sights on the winding stone streets, swim at the numerous beaches. Hvar’s 16th century Venetian-era hilltop castle offers fantastic views of the harbour below. This is a highlight to many visitors travelling through the Croatian Islands.
Trogir - is set within medieval walls on a tiny island, linked by bridges to both the mainland and to the far larger Čiovo island. On summer nights everyone gravitates to the wide seaside promenade, lined with bars, cafes and yachts – leaving the knotted maze-like marble streets gleaming mysteriously under old-fashioned streetlights.
'Linda' is a 5 star elegant 32 meter wooden gulet. Decked throughout in teak and mahogany, she is truly the Queen of her class. Imagine sunbathing on the enormous cushioned area on the foredeck or relaxing with a drink on the shady rear deck or just diving overboard for a refreshing dip on the Adriatic, not to mention the delicious Croatian cuisines cooked by Masterchef Jaska & wines served at meal times.
Croatia is an adventure that even Robinson Crusoe would have loved to enjoy, and it's just over 2 hours flight from London. This beautiful unspoilt Mediterranean destination offers an abundance of coastal and island towns with rich cultural heritage set in crystal clean waters of Adriatic.
With over 1700 kilometres of unspoilt coastline and 1185 island, only 66 inhabited, Croatia lands itself to a variety of holidays from enjoying beauty and tranquility of charming resorts like Dubrovnik, Makarska or Rovinj to taking to the water for sailing and numerous watersports.
